As someone who lives with cats that sleep on my bed, I was curious to try the Slashop Duvet Cover when they reached out and asked me if I was interested in reviewing it. Since I had already reviewed their pet hair resistant sheets, I was game since I loved them so much.

First Impressions of the Product
It comes packaged like the sheets I got from Slashop, and it had a bit of shimmer to the fabric. I also noticed shortly after opening it that it was a duvet cover with zipper closure (woot woot).
Opening and closing buttons on a duvet every five inches can be a minor annoyance, so a zipper closure makes everything much easier. There’s still a section on the side where the zipper is that is sewn shut on either side (you can see what I mean in our review video below), but you can still get most of the duvet in and out that way and only have to pull on it a bit.
However, I wish there was a zipper on both sides for maximum convenience, meaning that you could unzip or zip up from both sides rather than just one.

The duvet cover is shipped in a plastic mailer. The whole thing is compact, so you don’t have to worry about lugging around a giant box when it arrives.

I requested the king size to review since I have a king bed. They also make it in queen size.
Best Benefits of the Slashop Bamboo Duvet Cover
While the luxe feel and look of the bamboo duvet cover are great, that’s not the main selling point. It’s the fact that the material is a pet hair repellent in itself. Now, that might mean different things for different people, but for me, it means that the fur shouldn’t get embedded in the weave of the fabric itself.
That’s exactly what my experience was with it. While there was some cat fur on my cover, the good thing is that all the fur that would’ve otherwise been all over the fabric just gets bunched up into a ball sitting on top of the cover itself. From there, I can grab and dispose of the little fur balls since they don’t get tangled with the fabric.
The entire thing has been very convenient. I don’t have to lint roll the whole cover, which can be a pain when you’ve got cats with a lot of fur. I don’t mind a bit of fur on my bed (they are long-haired cats and do sleep on my bed), but seeing how great this one does at repelling the fur was nice.
Pros

Cons
The zipper doesn’t open all the way, which is just a slight inconvenience.
It can get a little wrinkly if you don’t iron it or put it on right after removing it from the dryer.

Ease of Cleaning
Throughout the 6-week review, my cats were transitioning to a new protein in their cat food, so they vomited on the cover a few times. Luckily, this is a machine-washable duvet cover, so I knew I would have a better chance of getting rid of the vomit stains.
All I had to do was spray some Shout stain remover on the stains and let it soak for a bit. Then I threw it in the wash, and most of the stains came out. But one remained. I used hydrogen peroxide on that stain and then more Shout. I had to wash the duvet cover three times to get the stains and the smell of the stain remover out of the duvet. This is all to say – I washed this cover A LOT. Over 8 times during the course of this review, and it held up really well.
Putting it back on the bed straight out of the dryer helps to keep the wrinkles away, which was a great plus.
Jenny’s Personal Takeaway
I have reviewed a lot of products in 15 years, and this is one of my very favorites that I have reviewed. I love a comfy, luxurious-looking bed that is also practical. This duvet cover for easy pet hair removal fits the bill.
I have said this over and over again, but it’s because it’s true – it reminds me of a duvet cover you’d find in Europe at a bed and breakfast or a fun, hip hotel.
I love how buttery soft the material is, and “the weight” (I put that in quotes because it’s not heavy, but it looks like it is heavier/dense) is also great.
It held up to a bunch of washing, which is important for me because of long-haired cats – there can be and usually will be something to clean up or wash, especially as they age.
My cats definitely liked it, too – and, moreover, had no reaction to it. I say that because my cats have been around fabrics that have chemicals in them that off-gas, and then they start licking or scratching because of it.
I truly loved reviewing this duvet cover, and now I want another.
