1. Q: Does this drive work with Windows 10 / 11 ?(Details of the operation are on page 6 of the manual.)

A: Yes, this DVD drive works with Windows 10. As the newer released Windows systems have discontinued the internal DVD media player software, customers using Windows 10 and above are advised to Install VLC Media player to Play DVD’s and CD’s. Also, check closely for the link (below), regarding a DVD drive that can’t work with windows 10. Check clearly and do what is recommended. Then the DVD drive will work properly.

Note: It is important that you have a media player such as the free version of VLC media player installed before you connect the DVD player. Windows does not have a default player installed.

2. Q: Why does this drive play a CD well in Catalina, but can’t play a DVD?（Details of the operation are on page 7 of the manual.）

A: The newest Apple update for Catalina can play a CD well but can’t play a DVD. It is necessary to install DVD playback software to play a DVD.

Please follow these steps to play DVD as below:

Please open your APP Store. You will see the Category, click it and there is an Entertainment option. Click it and you will see some playback software options that are free. Please choose the free playback software, choose one suitable to your needs, and install it. After that open the file on the playback, choose the disc to play. It should now function properly.

Note: It is important that you have a media player such as the free version of VLC media player installed before you connect the DVD player. Catalina does not have a default player installed.
