This LinksTek X540T2 Dual Port Converged Ethernet Adapter simplifies migration to 10GbE, provides iSCSI, FCoE, virtualization, and flexible port partitioning. Works with legacy Gigabit Ethernet (GbE) switches and Cat 6A. Provide efficient 10GbE network performance and reliable RJ-45 connectivity for distances up to 100 meters with cable 6A. Simplified installing ethernet adapter into a server or the auto-negotiation between 1GbE and 10 GbE. Full supports Virtual Machine Device Queues (VMDq), PCI-SIG SR-IOV Implementation (64 virtual functions per port). Bulit in Virtualization Technology for connectivity delivers I/O virtualization and Quality of Service (QoS) features. The I/O virtualization advances network connectivity by providing flexible port partitioning (FPP), multiple Rx/Tx queues. The FPPvirtual controllers can be used on Linux and virtual PCs, The FPP allow servers using SR-IOV function. The QoSfunctionality that can be used in both virtual and non-virtual servers. Unified Networking solutions combined the traffic of multiple data center networks like LAN and SAN onto a single efficient network fabric. Users can choose NFS, iSCSI, or FCoE to carry both network and storage traffic at speeds of up to 10 Gb/s. It is a reliable and effective method of connecting servers to iSCSI SANs. Open-FCoE architecture uses a combination of FCoE initiators in Windows and Linux operating systems and in the VMware ESXi hypervisor to deliver high-performance FCoE 10 GbE ethernet. The adapter is designed to fully offload the FCoE data path to deliver full-featured converged network adapter function.
