iQoo Z9 5G Price Tipped Ahead Of Launch, Will Compete With Phone (2a) and Vivo T2 Pro 5G

Late last month, iQoo revealed the official launch date of the iQoo Z9, the company’s upcoming mid-range smartphone. Further, it also revealed some of the phone’s key specifications, including a Dimensity 7200 SoC and a Sony IMX882 50MP primary sensor. Ahead of the official announcement by the company, Indian tipster Yogesh Brar has shared more details about the smartphone, including its specifications and price.

iQoo Z9 Expected Price And Storage Models

According to Brar, the iQoo Z9 could be available in India for between Rs. 20,000 and Rs. 25,000. We expect the phone to arrive in 6/128GB and 8/256GB configurations. Accordingly, the lower-spec version could cost around Rs. 20,000, while the higher-spec version could cost around Rs. 25,000. The company has confirmed that the smartphone will arrive in Brushed Green and Graphene Blue.

iQoo Z9 Specifiations

Regarding specifications, the iQoo Z9 could come with a 6.6-inch FHD+ AMOLED screen that supports a 120Hz refresh rate. A peak brightness of 1,800 nits is also confirmed. As we mentioned earlier, the handset will feature the Dimensity 7200 SoC, coupled with different RAM and storage variants. The smartphone should power a 5,000 mAh battery that supports 44W fast charging. Then there’s the 50MP primary camera sensor and a 16MP selfie shooter.

Out of the box, the iQoo Z9 5G should run on Funtouch OS based on Android 14. We’re also expecting the company to promise at least two years of Android updates and a couple more years of security updates for the smartphone. In one of our previous articles, we’ve discussed how the Dimensity 7200 on the iQoo Z9 could be a downgrade from the Dimensity 8200 on the iQoo Z8 (China-only).

What Are Some Popular Models With Which iQoo Z9 Competes?

The iQoo Z9 5G will compete with smartphones such as Nothing Phone (2a), Vivo T2 Pro 5G, and the iQoo Z7 Pro 5G, which are all available within the Rs. 20,000 to Rs. 25,000 price range. It is definitely a mid-range phone, but we’re still expecting a decent camera and battery life from it. The Brushed Green finish, with a unique design on the rear panel, could act as a real differentiator for the smartphone. However, how the handset performs and competes with other models remains to be seen.
